The monument over the grave of Karl Marx, first Socialist theoretician whose work, “Das Kapital, ” is the foundation of Communism and Socialism, was vandalized last night. The grave is in Highgate Cemetery.

Unidentified persons daubed swastikas on the stone bright yellow paint and anti-Semitic slogans in German. The only slogan in English was: “I love Eichmann,” Cemetery workers who discovered the vandalism called police who said the incident could have been the work of youths.
