Rabbi Israel Alter, the “rebbe from Gur.” was discharged from a Haifa hospital yesterday fully recovered from emergency surgery he underwent two weeks ago. The 70-year-old Hassidic leader will spend the rest of the summer at a resort on Mt. Carmel.
