Dr. Georg Halpern, managing director of the Jewish Colonial Trust, Zionist Bank, will retire from his position beginning November 1, the Zionist Organization here announced today.
It was recalled that during the Fiftenth Zionist Congress in Basle, Dr. Halpern expressed his desire to resign. He was persuaded to remain in his post in order to be able to conclude current affairs, it was stated. He will remain a member of the board of the Jewish Colonial Trust and the Anglo-Palestine Bank.
