Hamas agreed to enter a coalition government with Fatah that could pave the way for talks between the Palestinian Authority and Israel. P.A. President Mahmoud Abbas, who has been struggling to salvage peacemaking since his Fatah faction was trounced by the hard-line Hamas in January elections, announced Monday that a coalition deal had been clinched.
