The head of the John Birch Society has asserted that he will not allow his organization “to be a haven” for persons engaged in anti-Semitic activities. “We are not anti-Jewish and by the very nature of things we cannot be made anti-Jewish,” Mr. Robert Welch stated in a letter to the Anti-Defamation League.
