Hebrew College Gives Degrees to Nine at Commencement

Nine candidates received the degree of Bachelor in Jewish Education the fifth commencement exercises of the Hebrew Teachers’ College held in the college auditorium at Roxbury today. Dr. Ben M. Selekman, executive director of the Associated Jewish Philanthropies and recently elected president of the National Conference of Jewish Social Service, delivered the commencement address, and Louis Harwich, acting dean of the College, awarded the degrees. A. S. Hirshberg, chairman of the board of trustees, presided.

Miss Hadassah Waldman delivered the valedictory address in English and Ralph Goldman, president of the graduating class, was he Ivy orator and delivered the valedictory address in Hebrew.

Members of the graduating class included Dora Friedman, Beatrice Linchitz, Rose Rubin, Leo Taritz, Harry Winer, Foster Sapirstein, William Furie, Hadassah Waldman and Ralph Goldman.
