Hebrew U. Students Call off Strike; Promised Lower Tuition

A students’ strike that threatened to mar the ceremonies marking the opening yesterday of the Hebrew University’s eleventh academic year was called off when the university Senate agreed to their demands for a reduction in the tuition fees.

Tuition fees were to have been raised, starting this year, from $25 a year to double that figure.
