Hebrew University Names Farm Research Chair for Otto Warburg

The Hebrew University, which is observing the fifteenth anniversary of its founding, announced today the establishment of a Prof. Otto Warburg chair for the Agricultural Research Institute, of which Prof. Warburg was a director from 1922 until his death in Germany two years ago.

The budget for the next five years has been guaranteed by the Jewish Agency for Palestine and the Palestine Land Development Company to commemorate Prof. Warburg’s lifelong interest in Palestine agriculture.
