Nearly 1,900 Jewish refugee immigrants were assisted by HIAS during the month of September, the organization announced here today. Its representatives met 52 ships and 14 planes bringing more than 4,000 immigrants into this country during the month, Isaac L. Asofsky, executive director of HIAS, reported.
