High Israeli Official Leaves for U.S. for Talks on Desalination

Teddy Kollek, director general of the Prime Minister’s Office, left for the United States today for talks on the Israeli-United States joint desalination program.

The joint team of Israeli and American scientists is scheduled to meet in the United States by the end of this month for consultations with engineers before completing their plans. The goal of the joint effort is to determine the applicability of nuclear energy for large-scale desalting of seawater.
