Charles Hirshon, former President of the General Cigar Company, left an estate of $2,565,942 gross, and $2.212,551 net, according to an appraisal filed by the New York State Tax Commission. He willed $100,000 to the Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies, the rest going to his widow and six children. He died Oct. 9, 1925.
