Two-hundred and thirty Jewish artisans and their families arrived here this week for employment in the clothing industry and in machine shops. Other DP’s will also be admitted, under a recent government ruling. The refugees will be eligible for naturalization after a five-year stay in the country.

The local branch of the ORT is arranging vocational refresher courses for the arrivals. The ORT, through its president Dr. A.R. Vedder, is represented on the Committee for Displaced Jews.
