Thirty-five students are in jail at Klausenburg while several are recuperating in hospitals as a result of a mid-night raid on Jews.
The students in mobs entered coffee houses, hotels and theatres beating and ejecting all Jews found there. Some of the hooligans displayed the Swastika emblem, and most of them were armed with sticks. The mob continued the disturbance until morning when police arrested 35 of the ring leaders.
Enraged, the students gathered at the police station and demanded the release of their leaders. Police found it necessary to shoot at the crowd, several nursing their wounds as a result.
