An appeal to the Hungarian government that it take the initiative in abolishing the numerus clausus was made by Rabbi Loew in the Hungarian Senate at Friday’s session.
It is the moral duty of the government to take the initiative in this matter as part of the consolidation problem, the senator urged. The appeal of Rabbi Loew brought no reply from the government bench.
