Jewish Telegraphic Agency)

The proposed modification of the numerus clausus law limiting the number of Jewish students at the universities will be taken up today by the Hungarian Educational Department.

Despite a previous decision of the government not to consider the matter urgent and to postpone consideration of the proposed modification, the government has decided to bring the measure before parliament.

As a precautionary measure, the bill will be presented in parliament before the university students return to the capital for the winter semester.”
