The Hungarian-Jewish Central Board and the orthodox Jewish community of Budapest today addressed an appeal to world Jewish organizations urging support of a “fair and equitable peace” for Hungary at the Paris Peace Conference.
“Hungarian Jews can expect full restitution of property and a good future only from a democratic, strong Hungary,” the appeal read, emphasizing that Jews in Hungary have already regained many of their rights under the present regime, even though the rehabilitation measures are not complete as yet.
