Local courts have taken cognizance of the importance of Rosh Hashonah. Originally scheduled to hear motions on September 10, which falls on the holiday, Judge William B. Mackay has offered to hear motions also on September 12.
Supreme Court Justice Harry Heher has postponed the motion day entirely until the opening of the Fall Term on September 25.
