The International Table Tennis Federation publicly rebuked the Egyptian team in the 18th annual world championship tourney here for its refusal to play scheduled matches against Israel and warned that Egypt would not be admitted to future world championships unless it gave assurances that it would meet all competitors. The Egyptian team had refused to play the Israel squad on the grounds that Egypt did not recognize the existence of Israel as a state.
