An official investigation has been started, by order of the Roumanian Government, against Chief Rabbi Zirelson of Kishineff. The reason for the investigation is the fact that Rabbi Zirelson issued a call to the Jewish parents of Bessarabia, urging them not to send their children to the Roumanian schools on Saturday.
This action against the Rabbi is part of a campaign started by the Roumanian Government recently to suppress the system of Jewish schools in Bessarabia.
