Investigators found a Molotov cocktail below the charred second-floor window of a Russian synagogue. Vandals threw the bottle, but failed to break the synagogue window on Sunday night in Dzerzhinsk, a suburb of Nizhny Novgorod in Russia. Only the window frame was burnt, according to a report from the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations. “At the scene of the fire, a bottle was found full of flammable liquid,” the ministry said, Itar-Tass reported. The synagogue is on the second floor of a four-story building in a residential area. There were no injuries. Police are investigating the incident.
