Iran and Germany are both “victims,” Iran’s president wrote to the German chancellor. The letter, billed by Iranas a bid by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to cooperate with Germany, was instead a “weird” collection of thoughts on the Holocaust, Israel’s right to exist and Zionism, according to German officials quoted last Friday by Reuters.
