Funeral services were held here yesterday for Engineer Isaac Starkmet, director of Jewish Colonization Association activities in the Argentine since 1914, who died Wednesday at the age of 70. Mr. Starkmet had directed the late Baron de Rothschild’s colonization projects in Palestine for 17 years prior to coming here. He was born in Odessa, Russia.
