Israel approved an anti-missile system for civilian aircraft. The Civil Aviation Authority gave a green light Thursday for the Flight Guard, an onboard radar that detects incoming missiles and automatically releases flares to throw them off course. Produced in Israel, the $1 million system is already in use aboard 200 military and civilian planes in 16 countries, usually on an experimental basis.
