Israel believes its captive soldiers are dead, a French official said.
The London-based al-Hayat newspaper reported Thursday that Israel believes Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev, the two IDF reservists taken captive by Hezbollah in the incident that sparked last summer’s Lebanon war, were killed.
The report did not offer any information on the official or the captives. Diplomatic sources in Israel denied the report, according to Israel Radio.
