The dock workers in the ports of Tel Aviv and Jaffa were back at work today following their decision to await the results of an investigation by the Histadrut of their demands for higher wages and shorter hours.

At a meeting here last night the dock workers agreed to return to work under the old conditions, but stressed that they would meet again to consider the findings of the Histadrut committee. Their demands include an eight-hour day and no overtime work.
