Israel hosted its first international soccer match in more than a year. Israel is prevented from hosting official international matches at home because of possible terrorist attacks, but the ban does not apply to “friendly” matches that do not count toward international standings. Israel won Wednesday’s match in Ramat Gan against Armenia by a score of 2-0.
