Israel may exempt from mandatory military service extremists who took part in violent demonstrations against the Gaza Strip withdrawal. Military sources said Wednesday that “several” 18-year-olds who took part in the summer protests have had their draft dates deferred while top brass decides if they’re eligible for service.
