The attention of the United States was directed toward Syrian wanike incitements against Israel in a note submitted by Israel Embassy Counsellor Yohanon Meroz to Fraser Wilkins, Acting Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs.
Mr. Meroz called on Wilkins at the State Department today in reference to Israel’s new complaint to the United Nations requesting investigation of Syrian hostility. Hostile statements of Arab leaders were cited. Syrian incitements and troop concentrations were described.
