Israel urged its citizens to avoid Egypt, saying they could be at risk of kidnapping. Citing “concrete intelligence,” the government issued an advisory over the weekend against travel to Egypt and asked Israelis already there to return home. Ma’ariv reported that Israel had received word of a Palestinian terrorist cell that had infiltrated into the Sinai and, under orders from Hezbollah, was looking for Israeli tourists to kidnap.
