Israeli and American intelligence agencies reportedly disagree over the medical condition of Syrian President Hafez Assad. The Israeli daily Ha’aretz said that a CIA report concluded that Assad suffers from “intermittent dementia.” But Israeli intelligence officials have reservations about the manner in which that diagnosis was reached.
