Israeli Chief Rabbi Shlomo Goren last night said the Yom Kippur War was Israel’s “greatest victory” but that the intervention of the “superpowers cut it short.” The Western world does not realize how great the Israeli victory was during the Yom Kippur War,” he told the group assembled here to celebrate the 26th anniversary of Israel. Israeli Ambassador Asher Ben Natan was also present at the birthday ceremony organized by the Zionist Movement.
