Israeli excavations unearthed a Byzantine Church where the Virgin Mary was believed to have rested on her way to Bethlehem. The rock was found in the center of a fifth century Byzantine church, uncovered during excavations south of Jerusalem linked to infrastructure work for the Har Homa neighborhood.
