Palestinians described the dead in Tuesday’s incident as strawberry farmers felled by Israeli tank fire in the north Gaza town of Beit Lahiya. But Israeli military sources said the tank fired at terrorists who had fired mortars at the nearby Israeli settlement of Nisanit, wounding two people.
