Israeli Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom met with Egypt’s president. At Wednesday’s meeting in Geneva, believed to be the first between such a high-level Israeli official and Hosni Mubarak since the summer of 2002, the two reportedly discussed efforts to arrange a meeting between Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Ahmed Qurei.
