Israeli Minister of Agriculture Ariel Sharon accused the United States Monday of being the main arms supplier to the Arab states and said Israel did not take seriously pledges by the Arab states that the American arms would not be used against Israel. Sharon, the most outspoken “hawk” in the Israeli Cabinet, said his government intended to rally its supporters throughout the world to protest growing arms sales by Western powers to the Middle East.
