Israeli officials called on American Jews to help turn U.S. public opinion against a Belgian law that has been used against Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon. U.S. Jews should tell American officials that the Belgian law is not just a problem for Israel, but potentially for the United States as well, Israeli Foreign Ministry official Nimrod Barkan told the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations’ annual mission to Israel.
