Israeli President Ezer Weizman said he intends to continue fulfilling all his responsibilities, including swearing in judges and granting pardons, while police probe allegations he illegally received cash gifts from a French millionaire friend. His comments came after Justice Minister Yossi Beilin said that in the wake of Weizman’s decision to remain in office, he should at least refrain from fulfilling his judicial roles while the criminal investigation proceeds.
