Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon vowed to defend Israel’s security during a speech Sunday to the Assembly of the Jewish Agency for Israel. “At the beginning of the 21st century, the Jewish people are faced with many complex challenges and campaigns,” Sharon said Sunday. “I am among those who believe that in the power of the spirit which resonates within us, we will pave our way with courage and strength.”
