Israeli settlers are acquiring specialized dogs for protection from Palestinian attackers. A “Jewish Legion” patrol of Belgian shepherds donated by foreign supporters work in several West Bank settlements. The guard dogs are trained to sniff out, pounce on and subdue intruders, but not kill them, the program’s director said.
