Israeli troops and Palestinian demonstrators clashed for a fourth straight day near Bethlehem. The troops fired tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse the protesters, causing 20 students at a nearby girls’ school to be treated for tear gas inhalation. During the demonstrations, Israeli and Palestinian security forces briefly trained their weapons on each other.
