Israel’s defense minister pledged to press Israel’s offensive against Hezbollah. “The Israel Defense Forces will expand and deepen their actions against Hezbollah,” Amir Peretz said in a Knesset speech Monday. The speech was apparently aimed at qualifying Israel’s temporary suspension of airstrikes in Lebanon following the accidental killing of dozens of civilians in the village of Kana on Sunday.
