Israel’s defense minister said Palestinian Authority military intelligence agents had a role in trying to smuggle weapons into Gaza. Shaul Mofaz told the weekly Cabinet meeting Sunday that shoulder-held Strela anti-aircraft missiles may have been smuggled into the Gaza Strip through tunnels dug from Egypt.
