Israel’s High Court of Justice froze construction of an apartment building for 16 Israeli families in the Tel Rumeida quarter of Hebron. The court decision was in response to a petition submitted by Palestinian residents of Tel Rumeida, Meretz Party legislators and two archaeologists. Their main claim was that Tel Rumeida is an important archaeological site.
