Israel’s High Court of Justice rejected Jonathan Pollard’s petition to name him a Prisoner of Zion. The court ruled Monday that Pollard, a former U.S. Navy analyst serving a life sentence for spying for Israel, does not meet the criteria for the designation, mainly because the United States is not considered a country hostile to Israel or to Jews.
