Israel’s high court rejected a petition Tuesday to prohibit the government’s policy of “targeted killings.” The petition was filed by a group that claims the policy violates international law. The state argued that the current Israeli-Palestinian conflict is not a conventional dispute between two countries, and that international law may not necessarily apply in the case of a terrorist planning to carry out an attack against innocent civilians, Israel Radio reported.
