Israel’s inflation rate last month was the lowest in the world. The July inflation rate was -0.7 percent, the lowest in the world, according to the Central Bureau of Statistics. There was no rejoicing, however: The figure was seen as yet another indication of the country’s deep economic crisis. July was the fourth consecutive month with negative inflation. The annual rate of inflation was expected to be zero.
