Israel’s relations with Syria and the Palestinians were the focus of talks between President Bush and Jordan’s king. Bush and Abdullah II met Wednesday in Amman and Thursday with Nouri al-Maliki, the prime minister of Iraq, to discuss how to move forward in Maliki’s war-torn land. In a separate dinner Wednesday evening, however, the focus was on Israel, administration officials said.
