It is in the interest of both the United States and Israel to have good relations with Saudi Arabia, according to White House spokesman Ari Fleischer. Speaking to members of the Jewish media Wednesday, Fleischer said Saudi Arabia “can be a force for change within the Palestinian institutions” and that the White House “has seen no evidence” to back up charges that Saudi leaders have given funds to the families of Palestinian suicide bombers.
