Despite its anti-Semitic legislation, the Italian Government is making a special bid for Jewish patronage of its steamers by reviving kosher service on some of them, it was learned here today.

Swiss Jews were notified of the development by the Italian authorities through Swiss Jewish newspapers, which reported that kosher kitchens have been reopened on the liners Rex, Conte di Savoia, Saturnia, and Vulcania. American rabbis are reportedly supervising the kosher kitchens, the Italian authorities listing their assignments as follows: Erich Rasch, the Rex; Abraham Burg, Conte di Savoia; Max Green, Saturnia, and Morris Gottlieb, Vulcania.
