Italy’s Relations with Israel Are Good, Italian Premier Says

Italy’s relations with the “young State of Israel are good, ” Giuseppe Pella, Italian Premier and Foreign Minister, told the Italian Parliament yesterday during a general review of Italian foreign relations.

The Premier also declared that Italian relations with the Arab States, particularly Egypt, had “never been closer.” He also expressed the hope that relations between Israel and the Arab states would soon become “good” in their “common interest.”
